How to Claim Your Free Listing on the 703 Business Directory

What "claimed" means

Every listing on the 703 Business Directory is published with basic public information — name, address, category, city. When you claim your listing, you verify ownership and unlock the dashboard. From the dashboard you can edit hours, add photos, post announcements, and respond to reviews.

Unclaimed listings show a "Claim this business" badge. Claimed listings show a "Verified" badge — and unclaimed listings rank lower in search within the directory.

How to claim (5 minutes)

1. Find your listing. Search by business name or browse your city + category. Most claimed businesses are searchable within the first 3 results.
2. Click "Claim your business." Visible on every unclaimed listing page.
3. Create an account if you don't have one — email + password is enough. We don't ask for a phone number or billing info for free claims.
4. Verify ownership. We email a verification link to the address on the public listing. Click it. If the email on file is wrong (a stale business address is the most common issue), contact admin@goodaideas.com and we'll manually verify.
5. Edit your listing. Add your hours, a description, your real website, up to 5 photos on the free tier. Submit.

Done. Your listing now shows the Verified badge and ranks higher in directory search.

Do I lose my listing if I don't claim?

No. Your business remains in the directory whether claimed or not. But unclaimed listings rank lower in search and don't show the Verified badge.

What if I run multiple businesses?

One account can claim multiple listings. Add all your locations, then claim each one from the dashboard.

Can I transfer a claim to someone else?

Yes. Email admin@goodaideas.com with the business name + new owner's email and we'll transfer it.
